3 for 1 in Log booksBy now all instructors in NSW will have recieved the paperwork required when completing the new 3 for 1 log book hours. This paperwork consists of a record keeper that must be stapled to the declaration at the back of a learners logbook, and a blank copy of the lesson planner that must be developed for every lesson where extra hours are accredited, and kept by the instructor to comply with the auditing proceedures. Many instructors have voiced their opinions regarding the new system, and while most are happy to be able to give these extra hours and see it as a positive step for our industry, most are also very unhappy with the extra paperwork required for each lesson. Your association has done what it can at this stage to make the job easier for you by providing a word document version of the lesson plan so that you can type up the lessons, and we have had a commitment from D.A.R.E. that they wil be providing their redeveloped lesson plans when they are completed. We are still communicating with the RTA regarding the issues involved and will keep you notified of any changes. |
Keys2driveTraining for the keys2drive program has been going well across several States and Territories, to the point where lessons are now available in Victoria. It is looking like lessons will be available in NSW at the end of the week ending 30/1/2010.The program has been well received by supervisors and learners with the number of lessons provided growing each week, and feedback has been very positive from all involved. If you haven't registered for the program yet, we advise that you do ASAP if you want to get in early when the lessons become available. And if you have already done training, but have not finished your online tasks, we again suggest you get onto it to ensure you are ready to go when lesson become available.
